I am a coach, mediator, and lifelong lover of dancing, nature, and deep conversation.

I’ve spent the last 15+ years building and tending nonprofit teams, youth leadership and political education programs, artist collectives, and mutual aid networks from New York to the Bay Area.

My work as a coach and mediator is shaped by the recognition that we are always in relationship — with others, with our histories and habits, with our lineages and the dominant narratives that shape us, and with our inner tensions. When we bring attention and spaciousness to those relationships, truth has room to surface. And when we move from a place of what is true, life becomes more aligned, more free, and more possible. That’s where it gets juicy.

Lia is a warm, attuned, and insightful coach. She always makes me feel seen and understood, asking powerful questions that I usually keep thinking about for days after our session. I especially appreciate how she holds a container for self-directed healing while also creating a clear plan for our time together— I never feel like our sessions lack direction and I can always see how Lia is helping me reach my goals.

Is Coaching a Good Fit For Me?

My coaching style, informed by Integral Coaching™ and Nonviolent Communication supports deep, lasting personal change by working at the root of patterns. Together, we create the conditions for more choice, aliveness, and authentic truth across all areas of your life. Each coaching engagement is highly personalized for the client(s). Below are just some of the examples of what clients come for and how we work at the root of the issue to make lasting change.

What Clients Come to Coaching For:

  • Feeling burned out or depleted (especially in non-profit or service-oriented work)

  • Wanting more balance between work and the rest of life

  • Looking for a job or career that feels aligned with their values

  • Navigating a career transition or asking “what’s next?”

  • Building confidence in professional & personal relationships

  • Starting an independent business or creative path

  • Moving through a major life transition (e.g. illness, divorce)

  • Navigating conflict in romantic relationships or living situations

  • Longing for deeper connections through friendship or romantic partnership

  • Exploring family building, especially outside of traditional norms

What I Support Clients to Accomplish:

  • Clarifying values, desires, and priorities—and learning to make aligned choices

  • Building self-trust by listening to their body, instincts, and inner knowing

  • Transforming the inner critic and relating to themself with more compassion and care

  • Recognizing their needs and capacity, and acting in ways that support the client's wellbeing

  • Creating sustainable rituals and practices that ground and nourish daily life

  • Strengthening their ability to stay present with difficult emotions, including grief

  • Expressing themself more authentically in relationships, work, and creative life

  • Cultivating connection—to community, purpose, and/or spirituality—as a source of support and meaning

  • Expanding their sense of possibility, in order to see and move toward new ways of living, working, and relating
